Our History…

In 1987, Cornerstone was located at the corner of Bright & Philadelphia in Uptown Whittier. The office had grown to 12 agents when it literally fell down in the Whittier earthquake. In the next year, Cornerstone worked out of trailers in Uptown Whittier while continuing to grow the business. A new temporary location on Whittier and Washington  was found and the business moved in with 20 realtors.

In the late 1990’s an established building on the corner of Whittier Blvd. and Laurel Ave. became the new and permanent home for Cornerstone Realty.  Ron Ridout  and Meri Rama wanted to build a smaller, more efficient office with all full-time professionals who took their profession seriously and their goals and standards matched those of the company.

In 2001, Ron and Meri made the decision to join Realty Executives. This franchise, based in Phoenix, Arizona, matched the philosophy of the office in that they promote only the top of the profession in practitioners, and encouraged the same high ethical standards that the office already subscribed to. It was a good match. In 2001, with eighteen Realtors, the office produced over a million dollars in gross closed commissions paid to the office and was the 6th largest office in the Whittier area as far as production.

Since that time, Ron’s experience and Meri’s knowledge of relocation systems and business management models have made for an excellent combination of success. The office has now expanded to over 25 agents and has continued to excel each year. Proud of the fact that the office has remained cutting edge in technology and new ideas, the team continues to supply the best service and product possible to their clients.

Drawing upon our extensive knowledge of schools, recreational facilities, shopping areas, and transportation, Realty Executives Cornerstone’s professionals are able to better satisfy the special family housing needs of our clients.
